This is going to be the blockbuster sensation of the summer. Last night, I attended the red carpet premier of The new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. And right from the opening credits, it was a pulse racing experience.

Filled with over anticipation and excitement, I didn’t know what to expect, or what was going to happen next. What I did know, was that there was a shadow casted over, from the last Batman film, The Dark Knight. And this new movie had big shoes to fill to rise to the occasion, yet again.

If I had to describe this film in a word, I would say Epic! The applauds rang aloud from beginning to end of the movie.. Ladies & gentlemen, you are in for a unpredictable ride, with The Dark Knight Rises.
Without trying to ruin the movie for you:

Batman / Bruce Wayne goes in a hiatus state from the world, after the loss of his main squeeze, Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal) & the death of Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), only to be retracted in another deathly bout by a menacing mercenary by the name of Bane (Tom Hardy) who not only bleeds Billionaire, Bruce Wayne broke, deciphers Batman’s true identity, but also plans a high plight to destroy Gotham with a nuclear reactor device he turns into an atom bomb.

Needless to say, the caped crusader “rises” to the occasion, but doesn’t do it alone.. He’s aided by two members in the story. A Detective, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt And a beautiful femme fatal burglar turned good-guy (good-girl), named Selina Kyle played by the ever so talented Anne Hathaway. Both team up with The Dark Knight to stop the almost drastic end of Gotham, by the hands of Bane.

My imagination ran wild, and I couldn’t help but think this is where the origin of Robin & Batgirl begins.

Anyway, I hope didn’t ruin the movie too much for you.. Its definitely a MUST SEE x2. I plan on seeing it again. The movie is 2hrs & 45minutes, but believe me, you’ll be at the seat of your pants every second of the movie.

The movie officially comes out in 3 days (July 20th) starring in it are: Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Morgan Freeman.

The film is a Christopher Nolan trilogy..

It was an awesome day at Chelsea Waterside Park. On Saturday, soccer fans, food lovers and people alike came out for Adidas annual “Fanatic” Soccer Tournament. And a grand reception it was.. I’m almost convinced that there were more attendee’s this year, than there was last year.

There were a lot more teams this year, so the soccer field was divided into two, to get more games in. So many companies participated this year, it almost looked like a soccer fans personal fantasy league, taking place. lol… teams such as: Complex FC, The Worlds Best Ever FC, The GoodLife, Opening Ceremony, Nowhere FC, Miss Lily’s, Chinatown Soccer Club, The Smile, Vice FC, The Standard Futbol Club FC, Blatte United FC, Bouwerij NYC, The V Team, Marilyn’s Marauders, Ma3 Killers, Ace + Co, MonkeyVibes, United Bamboo, The Blind Barber, Food Republic & Psyop assembled on the field. It almost looked like the re-make of the Warriors movie. Both teams ran across the field, back & forth, playing their hearts out. But at the end of the day, The Smile took the “W”.

The tournament was a 1-8pm event with tons of refreshments & food (bbq). I was even able to catch Chef. Marcus Samuelsson on a quick food break. It was definitely a fun-filled day for family, friends, food, drinks, & of course, soccer!

To set the mood, and make sure everything was in harmonious balance, DJ Neil Armstrong was on the 1 & 2′s.

Last night, was an intense competition for Malibu Black’s Beats Battle. Family, friends, and the masses came out to see the battle take place between DJ’s: Intel, Tommy Virtue, & Bfine.

It was a Mac book-turntable musical version of Mortal Kombat.. These guys were playing for keeps. Each DJ, so stealthy pulled arsenals out of their Serato bag of tricks to cunningly top each other, impress judges, and win over the equilibrium of the crowd.

Each DJ was a given a certain amount of time to showoff their skills. And just when you thought this was it, “this DJ got it” the next runner up mixed & played something to blow the crowd a way and had everyone re-evaluating their decision. When it was time to decide who the victor of the battle was, each roar got louder, one after the other. Me myself, I got caught up in the production.. I’ll admit, I already had my favorite DJ, who I felt should win. I saluted and applauded him in advance, and told him I hope he wins.. I’m rooting for him. To make a long story short, the DJ I favored won the battle…. Yes, DJ Tommy Virtue stood triumphant amongst the rest.  A sweet competition it was, but like the highlander, “there can only be one” lol…

The event was hosted by none other than DJ Reach. The top 3 finalists from the Malibu Black Beats Battle will take the stage for one final spin off to decide who will be the opening act at this summer’s Malibu Music Invasion Tour.

Yesterdays battle took place at (Le) Poisson Rouge, (NYC) on 158 Bleecker st. b/w Thompson Sullivan, from 9pm – 12:30am

This is what Sunday’s festivities looked like on the rooftop of @GansevoortPark.. INSANE!! Even in the heat scorcher, clans came out in their Miami and Vegas best and invaded the swanky Park Ave. South (NY) highrise and partied til it was time to go home.

It first started downstairs, with a line forming around the corner of the Lacoste store. But once given the green light by the doorman, a sleek-ultra pink band was given, then people were ushered to an elevator which was their gateway-transportation to this cool-free spirited ecstasy.

The ambiance was set.. sky view of the city, colorful libations being brought to there designated table(s), @djmitchlj channeling the high spirits thru kick ass music, and of course, eye candy all around.. Beautiful women. This wasn’t a party, this was a celebration of good times.. A celebration of life.

Model, Shanina Shaik was one of the daydreams spotted in the pool, and looking gorgeous as ever. Owners of the energy drink, Hard were also in attendance and provided additional refreshment’s for the whole crowd via the Hard girls.

#Epic!, is the word I would use if I had to describe the evening. Fun ambiance, great people, and awesome music.. what better, right? well, I’ll tell you. Its when you have Theophilus London on deck, rocking your party. The dapper rapper, for the better part of the evening rocked out with his entourage for the patrons at Soho House.

Theophilus performed songs such as “Last Name London“, “Wine and Chocolates, “I Stand Alone“, & “Big Spender“. This was truly a great opening to the weekend lined ahead.. #thankyou

Also, turning the event up a notch was none other than recording artist and taste-maker, Theophilus London one the 1 & 2′s.

For a second, I had a moment.. I was presented, not with A Clash Of The Titans but a portrait of the titans.. It was really dope. Kinda like meeting Hov & Kanye, but on the fly. I hope I’m not being to extreme with the comparison but I’m just trying to describe the vibe that I got.

The Hot 100 party, took place at the ever so chic @DreamDowntown, in the meatpacking district.

Last night was the film premiere screening of the new Lionsgate / Tyler Perry movie, “Madea’s Witness Protection“. The private-red carpeted event started at 7:30, and was held at AMC Loews Lincoln Square theater on W. 66th st. & Broadway.

The movie is about this family who’s being investigated and has to go into witness protection at Madea’s house, from the mob due to a corporate Ponzi scheme that took place & held the company’s CFO, (played by Eugene Levy) responsible.

Madea’s Witness Protection had an all star cast.. names such as Tyler Perry, Doris Roberts, Eugene Levy, Romeo Miller, Denise Richards, Tom Arnold, and John Amos were not only in the film, but also in attendance at the screening. After the screening, everyone headed to the @Hudson Hotel for the after party in the Library & Garden section of the hotel.

As usual, you can expect nothing but his best.. Tyler Perry displays good family fun & togetherness, as well as non-stop antics and laughter with Madea… #HELLLERR

The new comedy film will be released on June 29th

The innovative marketing team that is Team Epiphany, and Pepsi were at it again. But this time they got nautical with it. Yesterday, we casted a way on a 4hr boat ride around the Hudson River.

The event was one of Team Epiphany’s creative, and celebrated themes… #SUMMERFRIDAYS. And what an enjoyable Friday it was. Friends and colleagues of similar media and marketing based professions all congregated together over laughs, delectable finger foods, and smooth spirits while DJ’S Wonder & Dao – Yi rocked the crowd, as well as the boat. lol..

Designer twins, Dee & Ricky hosted the event. And even with the unpredictability of the weather, it didn’t stop the festivities and good times from taking place. The boat left from pier 81, courtliness the World Yacht.

By the end of the party / boat ride, everyone left with higher spirits and free sandals courtesy of Havaianas, than when they first step foot on the boat. lol..
